I’m thrilled to return to comic books, with inker and co-host Kurt Brugel, weaving a world of imaginative art and writing with our sci-fi action title Turbo Pit-Fighter and weekly podcast Making Turbo Pit-Fighter to document the creation of the comic every week in split screen as we discuss the vast and vibrant world of comics from the perspective of two art teachers.

GET EXCITED! There are plenty of comic podcasts out there but in a first-of-it’s-kind twist, we are making a comic on the air, including all phases of pencils, inks, lettering as well as refining the plot, sequencing, dialog and lettering all done as we have fun discussing comics, art techniques and changing comic culture.

Making comics requires inspiration, so we follow up after each episode of Making Turbo Pit-Fighter with COMICS THAT INFLUENCE, where we flip-through comics from the perspective of art teachers, admiring books that shape our own storytelling, Whether it’s a classic artist, a rare indie gem or just a recent pick-up, we share the rich history of comic art as we feature our favorite outsider, sci-fi or b-movie influences.
